John Sebastian has been leading research and analysis into the data center expansion plans. His August 2026 fact sheet, "What Woodbury Residents Should Know: IronGate East and West," laid the groundwork for this hub's investigation. His research identifies critical impacts on water supply, electricity demand, and municipal capacity.
Key findings: 100 MW expansion ≈ ~80,000 homes' electricity; 20 wells sustain Woodbury at 71% capacity during drought; PFAS treatment delayed until 2028; same operator (IronGate) denied expansion in Eagan (May 2026) on noise and transparency grounds.
